Trails Rats

The raddest couple in BMX visited me in NYC this past week and we had a few days of shredding trails in NJ and NY. We hit Cunningham, Howell track, Keyko out on Long Island and the amazing Boondocks. Lots of video and pictures, lots of boosting, lots of laughs and lots of BMX smiles. Amazing.

Joey used her sweet Drift camera to capture these 2 beauts of us chaining in down the main line, and the techno twist line of Boondocks. Pleasures!

A-Line - Whistler, BC, Canada.

I have been so slack with this, a lot has been going on in my life, some good, some pretty bad, and the paths are ever changing.

A few weeks back, I was lucky enough to be invited along to Whistler, in British Columbia, Canada to ride mountain bikes in one of the meccas of all thing gnarley, Whistler. I got back earlier this week form what was 10 of the sweetest days of my life.

Amazing people, weather, vibrations, trails, jumps, gnar and radness. Seriously a life changing experience. It solidified within me the need to get away from the City, away from the hustle and bustle of life, I am so much more together when I am outside, in the elements and sadly NYC is not the place for any of that.

I love my life here, the friends I have made along the way, some of the most incredible people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and sharing my life with. Friends for life. But it is time for change.

Ain't that the truth...

Rough week, so the trails called, I put in several hours of spadework, met some awesome new people, caught up with some old friends, ramped jumps for hours, and built some sweet stuff with good people.

Thank goodness for BMX, and everything it has afforded me.

Go out there and build something.

The Invisible - Wings (Floating Points Remix)

Floating Points is, hands down, my favourite producer from the last couple of years. Absolutely stunning releases, flawless production, incredibly layered and beautiful music.

This is an incredible remix of Wings from The Invisible (the original is quite lovely, also). He can do no wrong. He is also doing a tour right now alongside his normal residencies in London, and comes to NYC to play at MoMa PS1 in August, get involved. Needless to say my tickets are purchased, and I'm on a hype. If you're reading this from NYC, check out the Warm Up sessions that MoMa is putting on this summer, the lineups are amazing what with Four Tet, Pearson Sound, MJ Cole and Jamie XX to name just a few.

A collection of my favourie pictures from my amazing trip home to the UK.

Much love!

Always

Music that's good for the soul. Hackman. London producer, bought us this tune back in 2010, and its a beautiful little summer roller that gets dropped very often.

And earlier this year, he released this tune. Gilles Peterson dropped this on his BBC 6 radio show last Saturday, and I must have reloaded it about 5 or 6 times. Too damn good I tell thee. And he released it for free too.. FREE! Get it on the Boomkat link under the video if you're swayed to do so. It makes me warm inside.

In other news, our new roomie is super swell and her dog, Oz, is amazing. There is something wonderful about having a dog in your life, and I'm super stoked that Rach and Oz are now part of the 74 South 4th street family.

Much love! x
